Volunteer Firefighters Wanted
Are you looking for a meaningful way to serve your community? The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters. This is a rewarding and challenging opportunity to make a real difference. As a volunteer firefighter, you'll respond to fire and rescue emergencies, operate department equipment, and participate in regular training and drills. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a primary residence within a 10-minute drive of the New Ulm Fire Station. State-mandated firefighter training is required. Volunteer Firefighters earn $15 per emergency call and receive an $8,000 annual pension per year of service (vesting requirements apply).
