The City of New Ulm is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the Building Safety Department. This position is approximately 80% custodial work and 20% building/facility maintenance. Duties include custodial work, minor building repairs, upkeep of mechanical systems (HVAC, boilers, and irrigation), preventative maintenance, and maintaining both interior and exterior areas of public facilities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of combined custodial and building/facility maintenance experience is required. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems is also required. Pay range is $24.35 – $31.27 per hour, depending on qualifications.
