The City of New Ulm is accepting applications for the full-time position of Librarian I at the New Ulm Public Library. This position plans, organizes, and delivers library services and programs, supervises assigned staff and volunteers, and supports the library’s mission by providing inclusive, innovative, and responsive services to the community. Duties include overseeing an assigned service area (programming and technology services), developing and presenting programs, assisting library users with resources and technology, participating in collection development, maintaining community partnerships, supervising staff and volunteers, and supporting library communications and reporting. The Librarian I may also serve as supervisor in charge of the library and participates in continuing education and regional library committees. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field and three years of relevant library or public service experience. Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) may substitute for required experience. Valid driver’s license required. Evening and rotating Saturday availability is required. Pay range: $33.89 - $43.51 per hour depending on qualifications.
