Please join the Martin Luther College Wind Symphony for “Diversions” on Sunday, November 21, at 3:00 pm, in the WCC Auditorium. The concert title is inspired by the musical term divertimento, which describes a piece that’s light and entertaining, or, quite literally, a diversion from the ordinary.
Works on the program include Vincent Persichetti’s Divertimento for Band, Op. 42; “Autumn Leaves” music by Joseph Kosma and band arrangement by Alfred Reed, “Down East Fanfare” by Jack Stamp, “Lux Aurumque” by Eric Whitacre, and “Danza Sinfonica” by James Barnes. The concert is free and open to the public.
