The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission is currently seeking a full-time GIS Technician. This position supports utility operations through GIS mapping, GPS and drone data collection, CAD drafting, and database management. Under the supervision of the Utility Planning & Development Engineer, the successful candidate will help ensure accurate documentation and tools are available for capital projects, maintenance, and planning. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an associate degree or certificate in GIS, Computer Drafting, or related field. Experience with Esri ArcGIS, GPS data collection, CAD drafting, and Microsoft Office is required. A bachelor’s degree, certifications, and UAV (drone) experience are preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. Pay range is $30.75 - $39.48 per hour, depending on qualifications.
