Recreation Program Supervisor
The City of New Ulm is seeking a full-time Recreation Program Supervisor for the Park and Recreation Department. This position helps support one of the state’s strongest park and recreation systems. Key responsibilities include planning and supervising recreation programs, leagues, and special events; providing customer service and program information; hiring, training, and scheduling part-time and seasonal staff; managing program budgets; ensuring safe operations; coordinating volunteers; overseeing seasonal facilities; and assisting with marketing, brochures, and social media. A Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Minimum three years of recreation or programming experience required. Supervisory or municipal recreation experience preferred. Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications required within six months. Valid driver’s license required. The salary range for this position is $36.63 – $47.02 per hour (Exempt), depending on qualifications.
