The Business Services Manager plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations, managing administrative functions, and supporting the Chamber’s members and programs. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this position is integral to the success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
General Operations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, committees, board members, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a professional liaison between committees, Chamber members, and the Board of Directors.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and respond promptly to member requests.
- Perform accounting functions, including invoicing and bookkeeping, with proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage the Chamber’s membership database (ChamberMaster), ensuring up-to-date member information and providing training and support as needed.
- Oversee the onboarding of new members and provide consistent, detail-oriented member support.
- Rental management (2nd floor of Chamber building).
- Assist with planning and executing events that foster community engagement and support Chamber objectives.
- Take on other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the President/CEO.
Minimum Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in office management, bookkeeping, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and web-based tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Canva, WordPress).
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- A self-starter with a positive, professional attitude and the ability to handle interruptions and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional nights and weekends for events.
- Paid Time Off: Two weeks PTO upon hire, plus nine paid holidays.
- Retirement: 3% matching contribution.
- Compensation: Full-time, hourly position.
