The Sarah Streitz Band Performs at the Grand Kabaret!
Sarah Streitz is a Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter. Influenced by musicians like Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams, her unique brand of Americana is thoughtful, imaginative, rhythmic and gritty. Her debut CD Take One, recorded at Bathtub Shrine Studio in Minneapolis, is a collection of songs that draws on the temptations of daily life, struggles of modern day immigrants, the fate of a young run away, visions of revolutionary Mexico, longings for an ancestral past, and lost love. Locally, she has performed with her band at The Aster Café, The 318, Day Block Brewing, The Driftwood Char Bar, Harriet Brewing, Honey and Lee’s Liquor Lounge and has performed live on KFAI Radio’s “Groovin’ Plenty” and had songs played on MPR/ The Current’s “United States of Americana” show. Sarah’s songs dig deep, pull hard and leave you singing.
