The Crooked Willow Band & Nate Boots @ The Grand
Rooted in friendship and family, Crooked Willow plays a mixture of different Americana styles. Elisi Smith croons lead vocals, plays kazoo, and picks the banjo, Lehi Gertz shines on fiddle, Tim Foss picks a variety of instruments, Tim Waller plays rhythm guitar and sings, Erik Hanson plucks the upright bass, and they are often accompanied by special guests. They cover great artists like Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, put new twists on old favorites, sprinkle in a few original tunes, and love to focus on fun harmonies and toe-tapping rhythms
Nate Boots is an alt-folk singer-songwriter who has been performing music since 2004 out of North Mankato, Minnesota, as a solo act and as a part of bands including The Porchlights, Jim the Harpooner, and Nate Boots & The High Horses. In April 2020 he released a solo album entitled Wherever You May Roam, a collection of songs about the people, places, and purposes that a body calls "Home."
