Tesla, the Man Who Created Our World - CAST Educational Program
Who was Nickola Tesla? What contributions did he make for our world? Go back 150 years to 1874. That’s nor very long ago in human history. Look at your world. There is no power grid, radio, computers, cell phones or internet. If you go to the doctor’s office you will not find any powered equipment, fluorescent lighting or X-ray equipment. Tesla did not necessarily invent all of these things, but without his input none of these thing would exist. Not a bad list of accomplishments for a poor boy from Serbia (now Croatia) who only had three years of college. Join us at Jim shares the life and accomplishments of Nikola Tesla, a brilliant man that many called “crazy”. This program is free and open to the public. No pre-registration needed. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
