Mankato is a music town, and August 2026 is when we pay tribute to the MMHF Inductees who originated and were based there: Dale Menten, Steve Murphy, and Billy Steiner. Mankato music expert and MMHF member/volunteer Bobby Drengler will be lecturing about these Southern Minnesota music legends, and he can also tell a tale or two about the origins of John Denver’s solo career.
