Senior Scams Prevention Program at the CAST Senior Center
Scams targeting senior citizens are on the rise: The phone scams where a caller claims to be your grandchild and they need help because they’re in jail, or that you’ve won a car or vacation, or a caller asks you to buy and send them gift cards. Recently, two men from Mankato created a fake senior dating site and bilked people out of millions. Join us for this informative program on Senior Scams Prevention, presented by Officer Chris Moellenhoff from the New Ulm Police Department. Chris will explain what scams are currently popping up in our area, share tips on how to spot if something is a scam, and what you can do if you’ve been taken in by one. This program is free and open to the public. No pre-registration required.
