Paint Your Own Pottery/Senior Center Educational Event

Join us for a fun event at the CAST Senior Center! Tami from Soda Street Studio will be visiting the Senior Center and hosting a “Paint Your Own Pottery” class exclusively for us. Everything, including pottery pieces, will be provided by the Studio. You get to come and paint your pottery however you wish. Great to give as a gift - or as a gift to yourself. A brief introduction with tips for painting will start the class, and Tami will be on hand to answer questions throughout. After the class, the finished pieces will be taken back to the Studio and fired in the kiln. When they’re ready (allow two weeks) they’ll be picked up and delivered to the Senior Center and you can pick up your piece at the CAST office. CAST will be covering all expenses for this event. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips.
