The State of Minnesota has enacted a new Wage Theft Law, which took effect July 1, 2019. The law revises previous state labor laws as well as adds new wage and hour requirements, additional documentation requirements for HR practices and protections and sanctions. Failure to comply may result in large penalties and felony charges.
Dave Skovholt, the Outreach Coordinator for Labor Standards at the MN Department of Labor and Industry will be our guest speaker for this training.
Some of the changes included in the new wage theft law consist of;
