CAST Senior Center trip to Gaylord, MN. Minnesota author and researcher Chad Lewis is touring the region to give various talks on the strange and unusual. In addition to studying Minnesota's unusual stories, Lewis searches for the unique and bizarre in other corners of the world. He will present "Minnesota's Gangster Past: Land of 10,000 Crimes" at the Gaylord Public Library at 7pm on Tuesday, May 30. Put on your zoot suit and follow in the footsteps of America's most infamous gangsters as they turned Minnesota into their personal crime vacationland. Filled with deadly bank robberies, explosive shootouts, brutal murders and daring kidnappings, this presentation lets the audience discover the grisly locations where the gangster history will never die. For over two decades Lewis has traveled the back roads of the world in search of the strange and unusual. From tracking vampires in Transylvania and searching for the elusive Loch Ness Monster to trailing the dangerous Tata Duende through remote villages of Belize and searching for ghosts in Ireland's haunted castles, Lewis has scoured the earth in search of the paranormal. With a master's degree in psychology, Lewis has authored over 20 books on the supernatural and extensively lectures on his fascinating findings. The more bizarre the legend, the more likely it is that you will find Lewis there. He has been featured on a number of Discovery Channel television programs. This presentation is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Trip Details: This presentation is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Preregistration required so we know how many will be attending.
