Event Description:
New Ulm Public Library and CASTLE will host a screening of the documentary “(Mid)West of Somalia” on Friday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the library. The film focuses on the stories of nine Somali-American men and women, all striving for success while seeking a meaningful connection to the rural southern Minnesota communities they call home. The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with Gustavus Adolphus Communications Studies Professor Martin Lang, co-producer Noah O’Ryan, and a panel of three Somali-Americans.
