Lots About Your Lawn - LWV/CAST Educational Program
Trip Details: We will meet in the Meeting Room (downstairs) of the New Ulm Public Library at 9:50am for the 10am program. Parking is in the library parking lot or along 1st North Street. This program is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required. We will be the guests of the Environmental Committee of the New Ulm League of Women Voters. Tony Guggisberg, owner of River Creek Nursery in New Ulm, will begin his talk with wonderful perennials that can attract butterflies to your yard, then move on to other plants, followed by a question-and-answer section to assist you with your Spring planting and lawn care. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
