Invasive Species, a closer look Instructor: Jordy Veit Tuesday December 18th 6:00-9:00 p.m. Fee: $10 Washington Learning Center (door #1) Room #104 In this course we will take a closer more in-depth look at invasive species. This course will spend some time looking at the magnitude, geography, ecological effects and impacts of invasions. We will also look at a short key to identifying some species of invasive plants which will be provided for those who attend the course. The last part of the course will take a close look at some invasive species such as Buckthorn, Garlic mustard, Zebra mussel, Oriental bittersweet, Wild parsnip, Purple loosestrife and others. This course is for anyone interested in learning more about invasive species, no prior experience is necessary.
