Invasive Species, a closer look
Washington Learning Center (door #1) Room #104Invasive species have become a hot topic the last several years. Invasive species are found here in New Ulm, the surrounding area and all over the U.S. and the world. In this course you will learn about the social and economic costs of invasive species. We will also talk about some invasive plants that should be a priority for treatments. We will talk about invasive species such as zebra mussels, garlic mustard, wild parsnip and others. In the course you will also learn about identifying some invasive species including a phone app that can be used to help you identify many plants, not just invasive species. We will also talk about how to report invasive species, some control methods and how to help prevent the spread of invasive species.
