I-35 Bridge Collapse Survivor Sharing His Story
Author Garrett Ebling will share his amazing story of survival after the I-35W Bridge collapse on Thursday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at Orchard Hill Assisted Living and at 6 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library. Ebling's story is chronicled in "Collapsed: A Survivor's Climb From the Wreckage of the I-35W Bridge." When his car took a hundred-foot nosedive, former journalist Ebling was left with brain trauma, many broken bones, and a shattered face. Though he made a miraculous physical recovery, his relationships and emotional stability disintegrated. He clung to hope, and slowly but surely, he pulled himself back from the brink of despair, and discovered a new spirit: the spirit of a fighter. Books will be available for purchase.
