HYPE Professional Development Lunch & Learn

Join HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Evolve) for a unique professional development seminar designed to connect you with local leaders and experts. Over lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to rotate between topic tables and take part in interactive discussions on key areas of professional growth.

Event Format

• 12:00–12:30 PM – Lunch & Networking

• 12:30–12:45 PM – Speaker Introductions

• 12:45–1:30 PM – Rotating Table Discussions (switch tables every 15 minutes, if you choose)

Featured Topics & Speakers

Building Engagement

• Speaker: Lori Pickell-Stangel, Associate Vice President of Advancement, Minnesota State University, Mankato

• Learn strategies for increasing team engagement, managing groups with varying levels of participation, and fostering better communication in both small and large settings.

Economic Impact & Development in New Ulm

• Speakers: Danielle Fischer Marti & Jessica Fischer Hoffmann, Co-Owners of 512 Gallery; Heather Bregel, Director of Economic Impact

• Explore small business opportunities, economic growth in New Ulm, resources for startups, grants/loans, and partnership opportunities.

Leadership

• Speaker: Korey Woodley, Regional Manager – Ecological & Water Resources, MN Department of Natural Resources

• Gain insights on advancing your career into leadership, women in leadership, and hiring perspectives for emerging and current leaders.

Human Resources

• Speaker: Kris Wuller, Senior HR Director, Shiloh’s Hope (St. Peter, MN)

• Discuss resume and interview tips, navigating employee challenges, retention strategies, workplace laws, and the role of AI in HR.

Registration is $20 for Chamber Members, $30 for non-members.  You register online or avoid the fees and stop by the Chamber.  Members can also be invoiced for this event.  If you have dietary restrictions, please contact us at the Chamber to let us know!
