Hot Topics: HWY 14/15 Gateway New Ulm Project
As winter closes down, we are entering Minnesota’s other season: Road Construction. New Ulm is in a cycle of three years of significant transportation construction and investment. 2018’s major project of bridge replacement and 7th Street streetscape will impact employees, visitors and locals alike. Presenting on the details, schedule and plans at our Hot Topics will be Todd Kjolstad, MnDOT Project Supervisor. Familiar with New Ulm and the business community, Todd also worked on the MnDOT Broadway projects of last summer.
“Large transportation projects come with two sides. On one side, we are excited for the large investment in our community and on the other side, we have to plan ahead to communicate, schedule and minimize the frustration for our residents, customers, employees and visitors,” stated Chamber President Audra Shaneman. “Bringing MnDOT in now is a part of supporting New Ulm’s business community and preparing and informing them of what’s to come.”
This Hot Topics Lunch will be on Friday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m. at the New Ulm Country Club. Cost for the program and lunch is $10 and payable at the door. Please RSVP by noon on Wednesday, March 14 to the Chamber at 507-233-4300 or chamber@newulm.com.
