Event Description:
The U.S census is quickly approaching. Since 1790 the U.S constitution has mandated that everyone in all 50 states, territories, and District of Columbia respond to it every ten years. The census is an easy process, just answering a few short questions about yourself and your household. The U.S census is very important as it measures many aspects and statistics for our country and its states. It helps determine federal funding, produces important statistics, and determines how many seats in congress each state gets. Your count matters!
Why Should you complete your census? It is very important and helps to shape many different aspects of the community as far as funding we receive for roads, schools, hospitals, police, firefighters, families in need, crisis needs, and most importantly the number of representatives the State of Minnesota has representing them in Washington.
