Harkin Store - Minnesota Riverboats
West Newton, the village where Alexander Harkin started his general store in the 1870's will be having a Sunday afternoon program about riverboats that went up and down the Minnesota River. There will be displays and information of the boats. The riverboat, West Newton, was one of the first boats up the river. The West Newton town dock was the last dock that the riverboats could come to regualarly and it was very busy as well until the boats stopped. Come find out why.

The Harkin Store is located on Nicollet county Road 21 or the bottom road, nine miles northwest of New Ulm.
Fees/Admission
The program is included with the price of admission. The gift shop is open the same hours as the store.
