The sixth of ten courses in the 2021 Fall Term of CASTLE Lifelong Learning, a program of the CAST Senior Center. We’re visiting Dee Thomas’ workshop where she designs and assembles beautiful, custom-made stained glass pieces and colored glasswork. Throughout its thousand-year history, stained glass was used almost exclusively in church windows and other significant religious buildings. Created in a myriad of shapes and colors, stained glass is now found in homes and office buildings around the world. Learn how this colorful glass is made and turned into beautiful pieces of art. Enrollment in the CASTLE Lifelong Learning program is $100 for one year, which covers a minimum of 18 different courses over Fall, Winter and Spring Terms. Courses include art, entertainment, health/wellness, history, literature, local interests, music, science, and more. Attendance of all courses is not required.
