Charles Krauthammer’s ‘The Point of It All’, will be discussed on September 10 at 1:30 pm at the Community Center, Room 15. Created and compiled by Charles Krauthammer before his death, ‘The Point of It All’ is a collection of the columnist’s most important works. Spanning the personal, the political and the philosophical, it includes never-before-published speeches and a major new essay about the effect of today’s populist movements on the future of global democracy. In new essay, Krauthammer makes a conservative argument for liberal democracy. You may agree, disagree or be on the fence about his comments, but this is sure to lend itself to an energized discussion. Our facilitator is retired educator Dave Martinka. Copies of the final essay will be available and several copies of the book are in the CASTLE office or can be checked out at the New Ulm Library.
