CAST Trip - JFK: The Assassination
Trip Details: We will be traveling to St. Peter for this presentation, which is free and open to the public. Preregistration required so we know how many will be attending. Register by calling 507-354-3212 (leave a message with your name, phone number, and if you need to carpool so arrangements can be made). We will leave the CAST Senior Center Parking lot at 10:15am. Program Overview: In a 2016 never publicized interview conducted by Larry Kortuem, flight surgeon Joseph Echert shared his unique perspective on one of the most notorious events in American history - the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As one of the doctors who handled JFK's body after the shooting, Echert had a front-row seat to the aftermath of the tragedy. This program includes Echert’s own conspiracy theories of the assassination, observations of Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon and even some unique insight into the medical challenges faced by flight surgeons during the Vietnam War. A fascinating look into significant moments in American history, as well as the personal experiences of a firsthand witness. Please note: this program contains disturbing graphic images and may be upsetting for some guests.
