This four-part series includes: Opening Numbers (part 1) on June 19, Classic Numbers (parts 2) on June 26, Love Songs (part 3) on July 10 and Songs Just for Fun (part 4) on July 17. Part 1 - Opening Numbers - features songs from The Wizard of Oz, Porgy and Bess, Annie Get Your Gun, A Chorus Line, South Pacific, The Fantastics, All that Jazz, Kiss Me Kate, and The Sound of Music We’ll explore the productions, the music, and what makes these songs so memorable. You do not need to attend all four sessions, but we encourage you to do so. This series is free, and everyone is welcome to attend. No pre-registration required. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free, and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips.
