Join us as we continue to explore Broadway Musicals with presenter Lowell Liedman. This four-part series has included Opening Numbers (part 1) and Classic Numbers (part 2). Now it’s time for Love Songs (part 3) on July 10 and Songs Just For Fun (part 4) on July 17. Love Songs features songs including: You're the Top - Anything Goes, Some Enchanted Evening - South Pacific, I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy - South Pacific, Seasons of Love - Rent, As Long As He Needs Me - Oliver, On the Street Where You Live - My Fair Lady, You’re the One That I Want - Grease, People - Funny Girl, Don’t Rain on My Parade - Funny Girl, Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered - Pal Joey, Sunrise, Sunset - Fiddler on the Roof. We’ll explore the productions, the music, and what makes these songs so memorable. You do not need to attend all four sessions, but we encourage you to do so. This series is free and everyone is welcome to attend. No pre-registration required. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips.
