Bobbin Lace Workshop with Minnesota Lace Society
In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will create and take home a simple heart project using bobbin lace techniques. Participants will use provided flat pillows and non-hooded bobbins with perle cotton thread. The room will be brightly lit with sunlight and overhead light, but please bring additional lighting if you think you will need it. This workshop is taught by Nancy Wellington of the Minnesota Lace Society. The workshop is intended to coincide with our exhibit on Knippling, a form of bobbin lace created in New Ulm. Members of New Ulm’s Knippling group will be there to help out, and the gallery will be open for class participants to view examples of lace. Instructor: Nancy Wellington Cost: $15
