Turner Hall, New Ulm, MN
Through Fertile Ground: Wanda Gág and the Turner Roots of Freedom, Alexander Roth will delve into the idea that Wanda Gág’s art did not emerge in isolation. It grew from fertile ground, cultivated by the radical ideals, communal practices, and educational philosophies of the Turnverein movement that shaped her family and her hometown of New Ulm. This program is made possible with support from the Marjorie F. Gislason Speaker Series sponsored by Dan & Nancy Gislason.
The event begins at 5:30 PM with a social hour. Dinner will be served at 6 PM, with the speaker at 7 PM.
Tickets are $30.00 and can be purchased at the Brown County Historical Society museum or the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact education@browncountyhistorymn.org or 057-233-2616
