We will meet in the CAST Senior Center parking lot at 5:45pm and carpool to the Sleepy Eye Event Center. This program is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required so we know how many will be attending. Noted Minnesota Author and New York Times Bestseller William Kent Krueger will be having a free public speaking event and book signing at the Sleepy Eye Event Center. William Krueger is an American author and crime writer, well known for his Cork O’Connor series of 20 books, which is set mainly in Minnesota. Mr. Krueger has written over 25 books, the latest being “Spirit Crossing”, released in August 2024. Don’t miss this event! Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips.
