About Us

Owned by a longtime New Ulm resident, Brenda Seidl, The Thimble Box offers a warm, inviting environment to make your quilting/craft making experience wonderful. From small hand-made projects to large, intricate quilts, The Thimble Box can help you. They have books, fabric - including wide-backs - notions and kits/patterns.

The Thimble Box has knowledgeable, skilled staff members to help you! They offer individualized classes upon request for a variety of projects; loom-weaving, runners, yo-yo's, new techniques... Want something custom made but you're not sure how to go about it? Have a project but not sure how much fabric you need? Want a second opinion on a project? The Thimble Box Staff will do everything to give you all your options.

Join a class if you want to broaden your creative horizons! Be with other people who want to learn but still receive that one on one attention you deserve. It does not matter if you are a seasoned sewing veteran or you are just starting; there is a class that will fit your personality and schedule. Call or visit us for the details and options.

Classes that are offered regularly every month (fees may apply):
*Saturday Sampler: 2nd Saturday @ 8am, 9am or 10am
*Mystery quilt: 4th Saturday @10am (Sept-April)
*Just Runners: 1st Tuesday @ 9am
*Thimbleberries: 4th Tuesday @ 9am or 7pm (new session starts in January)

  Large wall of color to choose from.

Easy quilt made from a bali pop (2 1/2''  batik ) and a few  borders. Pattern free with the purchase or a  jelly roll or bali pop.
