Plant Maintenance Worker II
The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission is currently seeking a full-time Plant Maintenance Worker II for the Electric Production Department. Duties include assisting with the maintenance and repair of plant equipment such as boilers, pumps, cooling towers, turbines, and generators. This position also supports the installation of piping systems, participates in preventive maintenance programs, and may operate boilers as assigned. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of two years’ experience in mechanical maintenance and repair or completion of a directly related vocational program is required. A State of Minnesota Special Engineer’s License must be obtained within six months of hire. Applicants must also obtain a Second-Class Grade “B” Engineer’s License within 18 months. Pay range is $27.37 - $35.13 per hour, depending on qualifications.
