How much do you know about New Ulm’s own Wanda Gag and her family? This program is an autobiography by Flavia Gág with a glimpse into the lives of her talented and fiercely independent family, particularly sister Wanda Gág. Adapted from Flavia's own manuscripts, diaries and letters, with information added from other sources. This program discusses the effects of the loss of their parents on the family, how they struggled through extreme poverty, and how Wanda kept the seven orphans, or “youngsters” as she called them, together. Fascinating details and pictures of their lives, not often heard or seen, are included in the program.
