Frequencies are all around us: from the rumbles of tsunamis to the vibrations of atoms that make Time itself. In this unique class, educator and musician Richard Mainwaring will lead us along an Infinite Piano of waves that wobble everything — from cat purrs to rainbows. This fascinating exploration of vibrations will include stories such as: how World War 2 German bombers wreaked havoc on the English city of Coventry due to a musical mistake of three notes; why rats’ whiskers are tuned like the strings of a harp; and how levitation IS possible through the most unlikely sound source.
