"Tales of Crime and Corruption: Brown County's Dark Side in the 1930's" tells the secret stories of our county's involvement in counterfeiting rings and bootleggers, holdups and gangsters. Come learn more about what it was like to live in Brown County during the 1930's! Highlighting Brown County’s experiences during Prohibition and discusses the attitudes of the people of Brown County toward Prohibition, the effects it had on Brown County’s three operating breweries, and the ways in which people ignored or bypassed Prohibition. Provided by the Brown County Historical Society. Hosted by the CAST Senior Center, CAST Educational Programs were developed to reach a wide audience of senior citizens, providing a variety of interesting subjects via in-person presentations and experiences. Scheduled year-round, we host programs at the CAST Senior Center, but also travel to area libraries, museums, places of interest, and other Senior/Community Centers in our area to introduce Seniors to the many program opportunities that are available. Our programs are open to the public and there are no membership dues. Unless noted, the programs are provided free and no preregistration is required. Carpooling is available for out-of-town trips. Check out our program schedule every month and join us for our next event. We look forward to seeing you!
