One-Act Plays: The Bard and the Bros on a Budget
Join us for a pair of one-act plays featuring stories of the Bard of Avon and the Grimm Brothers!ide!
In Allison Williams’ “Mmmbeth,” a hilarious take on Shakespeare’s famous Scottish play, everything goes wrong. The witches take over the storytelling, Queen Duncan would rather open a donut franchise than die, Lady M is a bloodthirsty June Cleaver, and the murderers are preoccupied with creating a commercial for their services. Then, stick around for “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” by Don Zolidis, where two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other, more obscure stories. Definitely do not pass up the chance to experience The Bard and the Bros on a Budget!
