Hygge Hens Retreat Weekend
After the festive season is over, time with family has passed, the decorations have been put away, and you are back at work, don’t let yourself isolate into the doldrums of winter. The long hibernation period we endure until spring doesn’t have to be depressing, it can be hygge! “Hygge” is the Danish word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. Think crock pots of comfort food, warm beverages, and good company. Spend your weekend with Lori of the New Ulm Wellness Collective, unplug from your busy life, and slow way, way down. We will enjoy our hygge retreat in the comfort of New Ulm’s new Warehaus Airbnb where Chef Topher will nourish our bodies with soul food and bake bread with us in their cozy kitchen. This non-directive, loosely-scheduled weekend will allow you plenty of choice and space to spend your time however you like, whether that is cuddling up with your bff for a movie, contemplating a puzzle, relaxing with a massage from Lisa, taking part in a meditation or yoga class, cooking/baking in the Warehaus’ industrial size kitchen or just plain napping the afternoon away. Leave your make-up, high heels, and technological devices at home and bring along your hobbies, books, favorite board games, face masks, anything at all that will help you slow down, breathe, and just plain pay attention to yourself for a weekend. Cost is $300 (ask about BFF pricing) which includes your cozy bed, comfort food, massage, and all classes and activities. Retreat settle in begins Friday night but no activities will start until after breakfast on Saturday if you are not able to come until then (price is the same whether you check-in Friday night or Saturday morning). Register soon by emailing thewellnewulm@gmail.com or calling Lori at 507-382-5880. Space is limited!
