Hot Topics: Understanding Proposed Water & Wastewater Rates
New Ulm Public Utilities and the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce invites community members and business leaders to join us for a Hot Topics presentation on the proposed water and wastewater rate increases.
New Ulm Public Utilities Director Brett Fleck will provide an overview of the proposed rate adjustments, explain the factors driving the recommendation, and discuss how the proposed changes would support the long-term reliability and sustainability of New Ulm's water and wastewater systems.
Topics will include:
- Why rate increases are being proposed
- Aging infrastructure and future system needs
- Regulatory requirements and rising operating costs
- Proposed implementation timeline
- Opportunity for questions and answers
