NEW ULM, MINN. – Human Resource Compliance: no matter how many people you employ, you have to deal with performance, communication, conflict, morale, productivity and attendance, as well as scores of State and Federal employment laws and regulations. Having the right items in place to help prevent risk along with reviewing and updating them annually is critical. The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce and extended Human Resources are pleased to offer Employment Law Update 2019 on Friday, April 12, from 8:30am – 10:30am at the New Ulm Country Club.
The program will be presented by Cory A. Genelin, an attorney with Gislason & Hunter, LLP. He specializes in employment law, civil litigation and business and banking law, will be giving an update on Friday, April 12. His topics will include such items as; terminations, severance agreements, Social Media and Hemp (CBD) in the workplace along with some other changes and insights for 2019.
Who should attend: Anyone who has a responsibility linked to Employment Law (HR Compliance) in the workplace even if it’s for only 1 employee. Cost is $25 for Chamber Members and $35 for non-members.
