Basic Computer Skills Series (Part 1 of 2)
Do you feel comfortable navigating your desktop computer, tablet or smartphone? If not, you’re not alone. According to the U.S. Department of Education, about 16 percent of U.S. adults are not digitally literate. Advancing these skills is crucial to helping bridge the digital divide. It's important that people not only have access to the internet and computers, but also have the tools needed to use that technology effectively, safely and responsibly. Join us for this two-part series on digital literacy, presented by Leroy Harris. These workshops will cover basic technology skills which include topics such as internet use, video conferencing, cybersecurity, and mobile device basics. This Educational Program series is free and open to the public. Please register in advance by calling the CAST office at 507-354-3212 or email castnu@newulmtel.net. Part 2 will be Thursday, December 14 at 2:30pm.
