DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, Nov 8\, 7-8:30pm and Tuesday\, Nov 15\, 7-8:30pm The personal essay is a useful form of writing for college admission essays\, scholarship applications\, artist statements\, and sharing personal thoughts and experiences. Week One: We will be learning the makeup of a personal essay and developing subjects. Week Two: We will peer review the first drafts\, have discussion\, and work on refinements. This class is open to high school juniors and seniors. Both weeks will be a 1 1/2 hour session from 7pm-8:30pm. INSTRUCTOR: Courtney Sieh COST: $25 MATERIALS: Paper and pencils will be provided but students are also encouraged to bring laptops if they prefer.
