He was New Ulm's first lawyer\, Minnesota's first Secretary of State\, twice state representative\, a city councilman\, county commissioner\, county attorney\, city attorney\, Civil War officer\, one of the founders of New Ulm's Catholic Church\, and any number of other public roles. Sveine will attempt to prove why he calls Baasen 'New Ulm's most publicly achieved citizen.' Come and see why!
