Operations Maintenance Manager/Technician & Safety Coordinator
General Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements: • Be to work on time with minimal unscheduled time off. • Ability to take and follow verbal and written direction. • Calculate fractions, decimals, portions, percentages, area, and volume. • Properly operate hand and power tools. • Follow proper safety procedures. • Maintain a clean and safe work area. • Maintain a positive, helpful, & constructive attitude. • Ability to lift 80 lbs. on an occasional basis and 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. • Operate a forklift. • Operate overhead crane. • Ability to work additional hours/days as required. • Fill out time sheets and material usage reports. • Assist in other departments if/as needed. Job Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements: • Create and implement daily and weekly maintenance and inspection procedures for all equipment and document dates of performed repairs/service. • Inspect, maintain, and repair all plant equipment such as, fork lifts, overhead cranes, concrete mixing equipment, acid wash equipment, power tools, work trucks, payloader, semi, semi-trailers, heating systems, etc. • Operate a computer using programs such as, Internet Explorer, MS word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Adobe Reader, Etc. • Locate and order parts for repairs. • Developing and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy. • Repair electrical and plumbing components when allowable by code. • Ensure all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy, OSHA guidelines, or other applicable governing bodies. • Researching estimates and hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work. • Manage new part inventory and proper disposal of used parts. • Snow removal. • Creation and execution of a safety manual. • Observe and enforce that proper safety procedures are being followed by employees. • Attend Weekly Production Meetings
