Jan 23 The Future of Retail Webinar at the Chamber of Commerce

2017 was the Retail Apocalypse.

What will the future hold for small retail? For big box stores?

Despite the headlines, what we are witnessing is not the death of all retail. Retail is splitting in two. This time, small retailers are the big winners. We'll talk about the underlying consumer trend driving this split and how in-person retail will become more than just bricks and mortar.

We'll share why small retailers are actually in a better position than big boxes and what specific steps retailers can take to thrive into the future. You'll get beyond the basics to go Rural Omni Local, reaching your customers where they are and using some new tools--and some old ones--to get there.

Join us at the Chamber office to watch this informative webinar,

THE FUTURE OF RETAIL

at 11am on Tuesday, January 23.

Immediately following the webinar, participate in (or just listen to)

a live discussion with presenters Deb Brown and Becky McCray,

and retailers from across the country, from 12-1pm.

Presented by Deb Brown and Becky McCray from Small Biz Survival.

Hosted by Cara Knauf, Retail Services Specialist

at the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.

Space is limited!

Please RSVP to 507-233-4300 or chamber@newulm.com.

Free event. Coffee provided. You're welcome to bring your own lunch.

Jan 27 Sarah Streitz Bank @ The Grand Kabaret!
Sarah Streitz is a Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter.  Influenced by musicians like Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams, her unique brand of Americana is thoughtful, imaginative, rhythmic and gritty.  Her music draws on the temptations of daily life, struggles of modern day immigrants, the fate of a young run away, visions of revolutionary Mexico, longings for an ancestral past, and lost love. Sarah’s songs dig deep, pull hard and leave you singing.
