Martin Luther King Jr observance
The theme for this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. observance is “The Measure of a Person.” Martin Luther King Jr. was a gift to our society as a leader of extraordinary resourcefulness, valor, and skill. On Monday, January 21, MLC President Mark Zarling will lead a special chapel service at 10:30 am in the Chapel of the Christ. A keynote presentation will follow the chapel service at approximately 10:50 am in the MLC Auditorium. Greg Patterson, an established community leader from Milwaukee, will speak about specific applications of Dr. King’s concern for justice and brotherhood based on a serious commitment to the Christian faith. Repeated breakout sessions will follow the keynote presentation at noon and 1:00 pm in the MLC Cafeteria Solarium. Lunch for community members will be available for purchase.
