Introduction to Invasive Species Instructor: Jordy Veit Monday November 5th 6:00-9:00 p.m. Fee: $10 Washington Learning Center (door #1) Room #104 This course will give an overview to introduced and invasive species covering a wide range of topics about invasive species. In this course we will talk about what introduced and invasive species are, how they get moved from one location to another and the effects they have. I will also talk in more detail about some invasive species such as the Common Buckthorn, Garlic Mustard and a few others. As part of my undergraduate and graduate degree I have done research on invasive species including Buckthorn and Reed Canary Grass which I will talk briefly about as well. The course will wrap up talking about what can be done to reduce the spread of invasive species.
