Join other HR/Recruiting professionals and members of the business community on Thursday, October 23rd, to hear a presentation about the Employment and Economic Development in Minnesota by Jeremy Hanson Willis. Jeremy is the Deputy Commissioner for Workforce Development at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Have lunch while hearing Jeremy’s presentation at the Green Mill in New Ulm, MN at 11:30am. This program is hosted by the New Ulm Area Personnel Association which is led by the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. Cost is $12 and includes lunch.
Jeremy Hanson Willis was appointed Deputy Commissioner of Workforce Development for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) on June 2, 2014. As Deputy Commissioner, Jeremy is responsible for the strategic coordination of the department’s varied workforce development efforts and aligning training and work readiness resources with the needs of Minnesota business. DEED’s workforce programs include efforts to prepare youth and adults for careers with market demand, reduce employment disparities, provide economic support to those who are disabled and unemployed, and help employers build, recruit, and retain skilled workers.
Jeremy Hanson Willis is appearing in New Ulm in the midst of MN Manufacturers Week. The New Ulm Chamber is partaking in the Tours of Manufacturing of South Central Minnesota program, and free tours of Windings and Specsys will follow Jeremy’s presentation.
