Duke Resonant Orchestra @ The Grand Kabaret!
The Duke Resonant Orchestra was started in 1999 as a "nom de tune" for the music and soundscapes of Emory Moody, a musician and filmmaker currently residing in New Ulm, MN. With a sound reminiscent of Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Talking Heads, and a touch of Hawkwind, over the years there have been many guest musicians and this show will be no exception. Mark Yee will help with percussion, keys, and saxophone. James Barnes aka Jaroba will help with electronics, soundscapes and alto clarinet. Other guests may wander in. Emory plays a number of instruments including hand made synthesizers and electric guitar. The show will reflect on over 30 years of Emory's creative work, re-imagined for the occasion.
